How to change date of Old post in Blogger - Update Blog post

Updating Old Blogger Post

Blogger post need to be updated as there may be a change or update in post but you duplicate the post for few paragraphs of changes.If you update those post with new post then readers will negotiate as a duplicate post or skip.There is also another reason why to update a post instead of duplicating the post as updating a post in search engine friendly.

If you duplicate the post then search engine will find out as spam when it crawls on duplication even with  the duplicate title tag is harmful.


We had already posted how to schedule a new blog  post in blogger and here its the continue of that post as its more important that while updating a blog post.

Change date of old post with new date

• Select the post which you want to update.
• Then click edit button.
• Then edit the post and make changes in post.
• Before hitting the update button in post settings.
• Click for published on.
• You will see list of dates and select the future date and time.
• Then click done.
• Then click update button.

That's it now it will be automatically use update tag as blogger is optimized for that old post and search engines will increase the SERP rank.

Note:

If you want to change the old post prema link with new link with included keywords,then you want to permanently redirect that old post link with new link.We will update that in next post,if you have any doubt then comment below?
