    Meta tags are tags used to guide the bots to crawl our blog or website more friendly and efficiently, for that we need to optimize meta tags in blogger.In that meta tags we have a  meta tag for blog description that cause the description duplication.

    When we include the description meta tag in blogger between the head tag,the reason behind placing them between the head tag is to load that every time that webpage or blog loads not matter what page it loads.But we write that for only homepage but it loads for each post then same description tag repeats so it cause an error.

    We always use google tools for SEO tools,now also we use google webmaster tools, for that you need to sign in webmaster tools.We have the below tool to find duplicate meta description.



    Eg: blog4al.com  (without http:// and www.)

    Note:only admin of that blog or website can use this tool

    Fix Duplicate Description Tag 

    This is very simple to fix , by just restricting that code to load only in home page of blog are website.Use the below code to restrict the code.
    • Log in to blogger.
    • Then click template and edit template.
    • Then click proceed.
    • Then search for Description meta tag.
    • Then replace it with below code.
    <b:if cond='data:blog.url == data:blog.homepageUrl'>
    <meta NAME="Description" CONTENT="YOUR BLOG DESCRIPTION" />
    </b:if>

    • Now save the template.
    • That's it check back after few days the error will be zero.
